The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Hello all! There is a light at the end of this tunnel called spring semester. I only have three essays and two tests to take before I am finished with my first year of college. I will be so happy to be out of college and have more time working for my trip. I just thought I would tell you all how college is going for me and update you all on what is happening.

Finals

Finals are coming up in the next few weeks and it's crunch time now. All semester has been okay, but now is when the hard work, late nights and coffee come into play. Tonight is going to be late; I'm going to work and then going to get my shots for my trip tomorrow morning. Anyway, it's going to be a short and sweet post. Happy late easter!

Hello everyone, I just thought I would share with you the things that I did for Easter. I spent it driving around with my siblings yesterday and having some fun. We sang until our throats hurt from singing so loudly. But all in all it was time we'll spent. I hope everyone else's easter was as good as mine.

Chillin'

Go on a journey with me to a place that continuously comes to my mind. Shall we?
You are lying on a beach. You're wearing your favorite sunglasses that you looked in every store just to find the perfect ones. You lay out your monogrammed beach towel for two that your mom bought you for college. You strategically place a beach umbrella above you, making sure that the teal, ocean water is in front of you. You lay down, plug up your tunes, and close your eyes.
You feel the coolness of the breeze and taste the saltiness of the air. Your mind is clear of everything: work projects that have been stacking up, college homework that you have been waiting to start on, bills that need to be paid, what groceries you need to buy for that week's menu. All you can think about is how you feel then and there. Any pressures you feel at home are not there, but peace and serenity fills that void. I could go on, but I'll keep it to myself. Use your imagination and finish the journey.
This is only a glimpse of what I am wanting right now. I just thought I would share!

April 1st, Day countdown, Trip update

Happy April 1st, or April Fools! I was posting on my other blog, which I will link to at the bottom, when I thought about my followers on this blog. So, hey, below is my traveling blog that I will be posting about my internship trip while I'm down there.


Also, I thought about how many days it is until I leave and it is down to 57 days. FIFTY SEVEN!
Can you believe it? I am shocked, excited and scared all at the same time. I have so much to do and so little time to do it! *insert a little, internal scream here*


Also, any updates on my trip will be on my other blog which is linked here: Leilani Landmarks. I am not sure if I am going to be updating my madam blueberry blog or leave it completely since it was a trial blog in the first place, so maybe some comments on that? I don't know if I will keep it for everyone to just see how I am doing or just use my social media accounts for that.

First Day Back...

Today was my first day back to college after a week of "rest and relaxation," or also known as spring break (my spring break did not really consist of either, sadly). I took a biology test today and relaxed afterwards with a few games of pool. Thankfully, that was all I had to do today at school before the homework began. Tonight's homework is to finish "The Scarlet Letter" and to write a research essay proposal and a two page paper about my first memories of going to the movie theatre. Fun, right?

Belated Birthday Celebration Part 2

After four hours of imagination, creativity and a steady hand, my mother, sister and I went home to bring along our father for the second part of the birthday celebrations. As we are leaving the house, it dawned on me where we were going to be going to next: the movies. With pre-bought candy in purse, the four of us go in the cinemas to watch "Insurgent," where I leave completely upset that it was not very accurate to the book, that I had accomplished to read in less than 24 hours earlier last year (each book in the Divergent book was read in less than 24 hours, might I add).












To say the least, the day began well with the hours of fun and concentration to make a masterpiece and ended not as well where I come home to write about on here since I have nothing better to do than study for a 4 chapter Biology test I will be taking in less than two days that I have studied very little for before now. With that rant over, I hope everyone will stay tuned for the future posts of this blog and my traveling blog that is under construction until further notice.

Belated Birthday Celebration Part 1

Because my birthday was during the week and I had school, my mother asked me to get off one Saturday in March so that we could celebrate my birthday with a girl's day out.  Eventually, that Saturday came and it was yesterday. Including in this girl's day out was my sister, making it a trio girl's day out.









To come to my surprise, what I had thought was our plans was not so. On the contrary, rather than go see The Lion King production in a neighboring major city to mine, my mother drove us to a paint gallery, for lack of better terms, where we took an 8" x 10" canvas and made a masterpiece of our own. Below is what I was able to concoct in my imaginary mind, with a little inspiration from a previously painted art piece at the gallery.

Internship Update

Hello everyone! I am in the process of setting up my new blog, which I will put a link to when it is closer to being done. The major details are being worked on my internship as I type this and will hopefully be done soon, preferably in the next couple of days.


Unfortunately for college students, there really is not a spring break, but rather just a break from going to school. I have a few things that have to be completed before I go back next Monday, one including a four chapter, biology test which will be taken on Monday, so please pray for me to do well on that.

Big News!

So everyone! I am working on so many things for my internship, I am getting excited more and more I work on it all. Even though there is so much left to do, I know I will be able to get everything done in time with God's help and from the help and support of my friends and family. It is only nine weeks away until I leave! OH MY GOSH! (*insert happy squeal here, with a moment of quietness in shock of the reality I will be leaving in 63 days!*)

The time has come for my actual blog to be made. I will be putting a link on here soon for everyone to be able to get to after I set up everything and it is under way. Please pray for me during this time while I have so much to do and not a lot of time to do it. Thank you all for your support!

Spring Break!!!

Today is my last day of classes for a week of paradise!... Well, I wish it was paradise. I will be spending my time working and helping my little sister find a prom dress for her Junior prom. Don't you remember those days? I think that was the highlight of my Junior and Senior years for sure!

I hope everyone travels safely as you go to the beach or somewhere more fun than home. I will not be going very far at all unfortunately. Anyway, try and have a good day on this day of dreary skies.

2 MORE DAYS!!!

Hello all! I have only TWO more days of college before spring break! I can't be any more happy than I am right now (well, I could be, but I don't see anything happening to make me REALLY happy anytime soon). I passed my biology test and I am having a flash back to high school while I read The Scarlet Letter for the second time in my English class. I hope everyone is doing well.

I am trying to eat healthier, meaning eating salads and yogurt. However, going completely without sweets and soda is going to be a problem, so wish me luck!

MIDTERMS!!!

This is the last week before spring break and I can't be any more happy. Even though I will be staying home this spring break, I can only hope that I will be able to enjoy it as much as everyone that is going away will be. I am not sure how much I will be able to post this week, but I will promise that I will get to it as much and as often as I can.

Weekend Fun

Hello readers! I hope everyone is having a swell weekend; I have for the most part. I worked this weekend, but was able to find some time to hang out with friends Saturday night. I even had Friday night to myself and watched a movie. My plans of going bowling with two of my friends turned into a night on the town: driving around, having fun, singing and laughing. I now have to bunker down and finish a mid-term exam, so that is what will be taking my time for the next hour or so.


I hope that you had or are having a good weekend and that it spreads into this week. This week will be my last week before spring break so I am hoping that I will be able to endure all that is coming up in the next few days. Anyway, I will post something soon.
